2024 Nucleus colonies. Spring nuc preorders are now available. Nucleus colonies are the ideal way to start a new honeybee colony. You will receive a fully functioning, thriving miniature colony featuring frames of bees, all stages of brood, and resources as well as a newly mated queen. This year two types of nucleus colonies will be available for purchase. The standard 5 deep frame nucleus colony is available. In addition to the standard, we will also have a 5 medium frame option for those wishing to start an all medium colony . The Nucs will be available in May/June of 2024 and are available for local pickup only. A $50 fully refundable deposit is due at time of purchase and the balance to be paid on pickup.
